When Petunia was little, she was picked to be a pet. Unfortunately, her people weren't prepared to provide her with everything she needed to be happy. They didn't spend much time with her, and she became fearful, skittish and reclusive. This made it very difficult to find her a new home. We were asked to take her, and knowing she had nowhere else to go, we couldn't say no. Here, Petunia has plenty of room and tons of friends. She doesn't have to be pet if she doesn't want to. She's been here for a few years, and while she still doesn't like to be pet, she isn't afraid. She walks with confidence, likes to be nearby when we are close, and will even take treats from us! She can be whoever she needs to be here!
